The Adam fig tree is one of the oldest figs you can get. They have big green leaves which hide the fruit. They tend to ripen late in the growing season. They have a purple outer layer of skin. The inside of the fruit is red.

The Adam fig tree is a unique strain found in South Africa. It’s a strong upright grower and prefers warm climates. Frost is a problem for this tree. If it’s kept in a pot, do not allow it to dry out. Potted fig trees need more water.
